PURE Property Management and HomeRiver Group said they have merged and will operate under the name PURE HomeRiver, a combination of the companies that creates the nation’s largest third-party single-family rental (SFR) property management firm.
The combined company said it manages more than 40,000 homes through 80-plus local offices spanning 200-plus markets and adjacent cities across more than 35 states. PURE HomeRiver said it aims to simplify the renting and investing experience by pairing local, in-market teams with centralized technology and operations.
The company said day-to-day services for existing clients and residents will remain unchanged during integration, including points of contact, portals, and agreements, while the organizations combine operations in the background.
PURE HomeRiver said the platform brings together PURE’s “AI-native” technology and unified operations with HomeRiver’s national footprint and institutional-grade servicing infrastructure. Leadership said the enlarged dataset and integrated workflows are intended to reduce operational complexity and improve outcomes for owners and residents at scale.
Alongside the merger announcement, the company said it secured $80 million in growth capital. PGIM, Prudential Financial’s global asset management business, served as the primary lender, the company said. PURE HomeRiver said the financing supports continued acquisitions as well as investment in technology, operations, and service innovation.
PURE HomeRiver said it is building what it described as a full-stack rental housing lifecycle platform, including acquisition support, construction and rehab, leasing, property management, accounting, maintenance, portfolio optimization, financial and insurance products, and disposition guidance. The company also positioned the combined platform as a partner for institutional investors, joint ventures, and multi-city portfolio owners seeking standardized servicing and asset management across markets.
