Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality, an attractions and hospitality company operating in the United States, Canada, Iceland, and Costa Rica, has acquired Eagle Wing Tours, a Victoria, British Columbia-based whale watching and marine wildlife operator. The transaction closed July 14, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition marks Pursuit’s entry into the Vancouver Island market and advances its Vision 2030 strategy of investing in iconic, market-leading experiences in destinations with strong long-term tourism fundamentals.
Founded in Victoria in 1997, Eagle Wing Tours operates from Fisherman’s Wharf with a fleet of five vessels and welcomes more than 50,000 guests annually. The company has built a reputation for marine wildlife interpretation and conservation-focused tourism on the Salish Sea, and maintains partnerships with local Indigenous communities, environmental organizations, researchers, and educators. Eagle Wing is also among the first wildlife exploration companies to complete a Now for Nature Strategy, a science-based framework guiding action across conservation, research, sustainability, and education.
Victoria receives nearly five million visitors annually, making it one of Canada’s most visited destinations. The city’s combination of marine wildlife, natural landscape, and year-round appeal aligns with Pursuit’s focus on places that draw sustained international visitor interest. The acquisition strengthens Pursuit’s Canadian portfolio alongside its existing attractions across Banff and other iconic North American destinations.
Eagle Wing Tours will continue to operate under its existing leadership with no immediate changes to its team, operations, or guest experience. Over time, it will gain access to Pursuit’s marketing capabilities, commercial infrastructure, and expanded audience reach. All existing partnerships, including those with Indigenous communities and environmental groups, will remain central to the experience.
