Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, a national provider of fire protection, life safety, and security services, has acquired Coastal Sprinkler, a Beaumont, Texas-based fire sprinkler contractor serving Southeast Texas since 1987.
The deal expands Pye-Barker’s fire sprinkler capabilities and extends its service footprint across Southern Texas, as the company continues to add local operators to its nationwide platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Coastal Sprinkler provides water-based automatic fire sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential customers, offering design, installation, maintenance, service, and inspection. The company was founded by Carl W. Cuniff and is now operated by his sons, Russell and Kevan Cuniff.
Pye-Barker said Coastal Sprinkler’s technicians will continue supporting customers throughout Southeast Texas, with added backing from Pye-Barker’s resources. Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough represented Pye-Barker in the transaction.
Pye-Barker operates more than 250 locations nationwide with approximately 8,000 team members. The company is Great Place to Work Certified, appears on the Inc. 5000 list, and is ranked No. 4 on the SDM 100.
