Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, a national provider of fire protection, life safety, and security services, has acquired The Alarm Group to broaden its security and alarm capabilities in Oklahoma, the companies announced Wednesday.
The Alarm Group, which operates in Oklahoma City and Lawton, provides commercial security systems including burglar and fire alarms, access control, video surveillance, and mobile security solutions. The company’s mobile security towers are designed to deliver 24-hour live monitoring, supported by solar battery backup, AI-enhanced intrusion detection, and audio talk-downs to deter threats and enable an appropriate response.
Pye-Barker said the combination pairs The Alarm Group’s local presence with Pye-Barker’s nationwide scale, aiming to strengthen service for customers across the state. The Alarm Group’s technicians are expected to continue serving existing customers in Oklahoma following the transaction.
The Alarm Group was formed through the combination of HESI Security and Network Alarm Services, and is led by co-owners Mike Nelson, Chris Weidenmann, and Rick Spring. Pye-Barker Chief Executive Officer Bart Proctor said the acquisition adds specialized experience and supports a closer alignment of local teams in Oklahoma City.
