The deal, pending UK regulatory approval, is expected to have an immediate operational impact on manufacturers by automating procurement and supply chain functions, freeing up nearly half of a buyer’s daily workload.
Based in Santa Barbara, California, QAD stated that Kavida.ai’s procurement agents will enhance the Champion AI platform with live, high-value use cases in strategic sourcing and ERP automation, enabling manufacturers to achieve faster and more measurable productivity gains. The integration will enable companies to automate manual post-order and supplier collaboration tasks, while enhancing reliability and decision-making throughout the supply chain.
According to QAD | Redzone, the acquisition is not simply an expansion of its AI features but a redefinition of manufacturing productivity through automation and adaptive intelligence. Kavida.ai’s team brings deep expertise in AI agent safety, human-in-the-loop training, and processing unstructured data. Its proprietary technology in procurement agent training and inbox-to-ERP automation will serve as the foundation for new agentic use cases across QAD’s broader solutions ecosystem.
Following the acquisition, Kavida.ai’s Purchase Order, Request for Quotation, and Sales agents will be made immediately available to QAD | Redzone customers. Kavida.ai’s founders, CEO Anam Rahman and CTO Dr. Sumit Sinha, will assume senior leadership roles within QAD | Redzone to guide the continued development of the Champion AI platform.
