Qnity And University Of Delaware Partner On Semiconductor Research And Workforce Development

Qnity Electronics has entered into a strategic partnership with the University of Delaware College of Engineering to expand engineering education, semiconductor research and advanced manufacturing innovation.

The collaboration will provide students with opportunities to work alongside Qnity technical leaders on capstone projects addressing manufacturing and operational challenges.

Qnity is also piloting an extended work-study program designed to give students industry experience while supporting automation projects and developing technical skills.

The partnership comes as increasing demand for artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and advanced connectivity creates a need for additional semiconductor manufacturing capacity and engineering talent.

Qnity will also explore research opportunities with University of Delaware faculty involving semiconductor materials and manufacturing processes.

The company will gain access to specialized university resources, including the Keck Center for Advanced Microscopy and Microanalysis.
