Quanta Services announced the appointment of Joseph Kim to its Board of Directors, adding a veteran executive with extensive leadership, operational, supply chain, and logistics experience to the company’s board.
The company said Kim brings deep expertise in the energy industry along with experience in strategic planning, capital allocation, and risk management. His appointment further strengthens Quanta Services’ leadership as the company continues expanding its infrastructure solutions business across utility, communications, pipeline, and energy markets.
Doyle N. Beneby, Quanta Services’ independent Chairman of the Board, said the company is excited to add Kim’s experience and perspective to the board. Beneby highlighted Kim’s track record as both a public company executive and director, noting his operational background and expertise in energy infrastructure and logistics.
Kim currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and director of Sunoco LP through its general partner, Sunoco GP LLC. During his tenure at Sunoco, he previously held several executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and Chief Development Officer.
Before joining Sunoco, Kim served as Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands. He also held multiple leadership positions at Valero Energy Corporation, where he gained experience in fuel manufacturing, transportation, and energy operations.
Quanta Services is widely known for providing specialized infrastructure solutions for utilities, power generation, communications, load centers, and pipeline markets. The company’s services include the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of energy and communications infrastructure systems across the United States, Canada, Australia, and other international markets.
The appointment comes as infrastructure and energy companies continue prioritizing experienced leadership amid growing investment in grid modernization, energy transition projects, communications infrastructure, and large-scale industrial development.
