QuantHealth has raised $45 million in Series B funding to expand its artificial intelligence-powered clinical trial simulation platform. The round was led by Qumra Capital, with participation from Pitango HealthTech, Sanofi Ventures, Artofin Venture Capital Fund, Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments, GC Ventures, NewHealth Ventures, Shoni Top Ventures and Esplanade Ventures.
QuantHealth plans to use the funding to accelerate adoption of what it calls simulation-first clinical development, an approach designed to test and optimize clinical trials through predictive modeling before patients are enrolled or significant capital is committed.
The company will invest in next-generation AI models, additional scientific validation, larger datasets and broader therapeutic coverage. It also plans to expand its workforce across technical development and client services and introduce products covering more stages of the clinical and commercial lifecycle.
QuantHealth’s platform is designed to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies evaluate trial protocols, patient populations, endpoints and other development decisions using AI-generated simulations rather than relying solely on historical benchmarks and subjective assumptions.
The company said more than 90% of drug candidates entering clinical development ultimately fail, with approximately 75% of those failures associated with efficacy and safety.
QuantHealth has simulated more than 600 clinical trials across 30 indications and reported predictive accuracy of up to 90%. The company plans to expand its coverage to more than 40 indications, with a focus on oncology, cardiometabolic disease and inflammation.
QuantHealth currently works with 12 of the world’s 20 largest pharmaceutical companies.
KEY QUOTES:
“With our predictive simulations, teams can evaluate clinical and commercial decisions before enrolling a single patient or committing capital. This funding allows us to scale that approach, making simulation a standard step in development and fundamentally improving how drugs are brought to market.”
