Quantro Security Emerges From Stealth With VM.Analyst Autonomous Defense Platform

Quantro Security, an AI-native cybersecurity company founded by veterans from CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Qualys, has emerged from stealth to introduce VM.Analyst, an autonomous AI agent designed to modernize vulnerability management and help organizations defend against rapidly evolving AI-driven cyber threats.

Headquartered in New York, Quantro Security said the launch reflects a growing need for automated defense systems capable of responding to machine-speed cyberattacks. The company was built by engineering and product leaders from major cybersecurity firms and is backed by Gradient, a seed fund focused on AI startups.

According to the company, the cybersecurity landscape has shifted dramatically as AI lowers the barrier to launching sophisticated attacks. Vulnerabilities can now be exploited within minutes of disclosure, leaving traditional, manual security operations struggling to keep pace. Security teams are also overwhelmed by a surge of risk alerts generated by numerous siloed tools, often spending significant time triaging false positives or issues that cannot actually be exploited.

Quantro’s VM.Analyst aims to address this challenge by serving as an autonomous agent that aggregates and analyzes data across an organization’s cybersecurity environment. The system integrates with vulnerability management platforms, cloud security tools, CMDBs, and firewalls, normalizing and deduplicating the information before applying AI reasoning to identify the most critical risks.

The platform evaluates the organization’s specific environment, including compensating controls and existing security configurations, to determine which vulnerabilities represent genuine exposure. It then provides recommended remediation steps and allows analysts to delegate tasks directly to the AI agent using natural-language prompts.

The company said the technology effectively functions as an always-on expert advisor, enabling analysts to request insights, prioritize remediation tasks, or execute compliance actions while keeping humans involved in decision-making.

Quantro’s founders say the product is designed to transform how organizations approach cyber defense in an era when attackers are increasingly leveraging AI to accelerate exploitation and scale attacks.

The company also noted that the system provides a unified layer of actionable intelligence by reasoning across multiple data sources, allowing security teams to focus on reducing real risk rather than processing large volumes of fragmented alerts.

Quantro Security plans to showcase the technology at the RSAC 2026 Early Stage Expo and is currently offering demonstrations of the VM.Analyst platform to interested organizations.

KEY QUOTES:

“Today’s AI-driven threats require far more than just people-driven defense. By partnering with Quantro Security, we’re utilizing agentic AI as a force multiplier, drastically shrinking our attack surface, eliminating high-effort work, and transforming our analysts into strategic architects of defense.”

Gabriel Montague, Interim CISO at NRG

“AI’s real power is its ability to deliver outcomes previously unattainable. For the first time, organizations can tailor risk assessment to their own security controls, pinpoint what is truly exploitable, and eliminate those exposures before attackers strike.”

Mehul Revankar, Co-Founder And Chief Product Officer, Quantro Security

“In this new era of AI-native products, ideas are priceless, and code is cheap, but execution is everything. Quantro is the culmination of 20 years of product building distilled into a single, definitive solution for managing cyber risks.”

Sasan Padidar, Co-Founder And Chief Executive Officer, Quantro Security

“Quantro Security’s VM.Analyst modernizes vulnerability management with a purpose-built AI platform that addresses traditional challenges facing security operations teams. The outcome is deep analysis and prioritization that goes beyond human capabilities alone. We are proud to collaborate with Quantro to drive innovation that brings new value to our clients.”

Ben Doane, Principal, Risk Consulting And Cybersecurity Managed Services, Forvis Mazars

“Every year, CISOs are tasked with securing a larger software and infrastructure footprint. Meanwhile, AI-generated threats are outpacing human capacity, and AI infrastructure is creating new attack surfaces. Fighting AI with AI is no longer optional; it’s a necessity. Mehul & Sasan have deep domain experience in detecting, verifying, and fixing security vulnerabilities and are building the platform that security teams need to keep up with today’s AI-generated threats.”
