Quantum Blockchain Technologies Moves AI Bitcoin Mining Technology Into Live Testing

Quantum Blockchain Technologies announced that its AI-driven Bitcoin mining technology has moved from laboratory validation into live, manufacturer-backed testing, as the company advances its Method C AI Oracle and ASIC UltraBoost intellectual property.

During the first half and subsequent months, QBT deepened collaboration with an unnamed ASIC manufacturer, resumed quantum computing research, established mining subsidiary BlocKeeper, and advanced its U.S. patent application for ASIC UltraBoost. Interim Results – 07_00_00 28 S…

QBT’s Method C remains its primary research focus.

After receiving a mining rig and development kit from an ASIC manufacturer, its research team at Milan University created a testing environment using data generated directly from the manufacturer’s hardware.

The first AI Oracles trained on that data were developed in July.

QBT said testing through August showed a consistent advantage over traditional mining across the intervals evaluated, although the company stressed that additional validation is required before commercial deployment. Interim Results – 07_00_00 28 S…

The company has also developed a new mathematical version of Method B based on chaos mathematics, which it said produced performance improvements in offline testing and early live testing using a Bitaxe Gamma Bitcoin miner.

Quantum computing research resumed after having been paused since 2023, with QBT developing an internal quantum implementation of SHA-256.

Patent activity also progressed.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a Notice of Allowance for QBT’s ASIC UltraBoost technology, and the company has begun recruiting industry specialists to support licensing discussions with ASIC manufacturers.

For the first half, QBT reported a €1.15 million loss, improving from €1.54 million a year earlier.

However, cash and cash equivalents stood at only approximately €11,000 at June 30, and the company said its continuing operations remain dependent on its ability to raise further financing.

QBT is seeking to commercialize its intellectual property through licensing and related agreements rather than building large mining infrastructure itself.
