Firgun Ventures has announced a strategic investment in Quantum Elements, a Los Angeles–based startup developing Constellation, a platform it believes could become a leading tool for building quantum applications. The company is supported by a high-profile network, including board member Chad Rigetti, founder of Rigetti Computing.
Quantum Elements’ Constellation platform differentiates itself from other quantum software solutions by combining AI-driven digital twins with hardware-aware simulation. This approach allows researchers and enterprises to design, test, and refine quantum circuits before executing them on costly quantum processors, reducing cost, time, and risk while making quantum computing more accessible for real-world use cases.
Since launching its cloud platform in October 2025, the company has gained early commercial traction. It has established partnerships with major players, including IBM, Amazon Web Services, Rigetti Computing, and Quantum Machines. It has also formed research collaborations with the National University of Singapore and the University of California, Los Angeles, demonstrating its ability to deliver practical software across the quantum ecosystem.
The Quantum Elements leadership team includes CEO Izhar Medalsy, a serial technology entrepreneur with experience scaling advanced hardware companies; Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer Professor Daniel Lidar, director of the University of Southern California’s Center for Quantum Information Science and Technology and a pioneer in quantum error correction; and Co-founder Professor Amir Yacoby, a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and a professor at Harvard University known for his work in solid-state quantum physics.
The company’s board includes Chad Rigetti. Additional investors in the SAFE round include early-stage quantum specialist fund QDNL Participations, which was the first investor in Quantum Elements, as well as Quantacet and R-Squared Ventures.
