Quantum Health announced it has acquired CirrusMD, combining healthcare navigation with physician-led on-demand virtual care to deliver more integrated access to care and improved outcomes for members throughout the healthcare journey.
The deal brings together Quantum Health’s healthcare navigation platform with CirrusMD’s virtual care capabilities, enabling members to connect with physicians in under 60 seconds through a chat-first experience available 24/7/365. The integration is designed to support earlier engagement, better care coordination, and reduced healthcare costs for employers and their employees.
Quantum Health’s Real-Time Intercept model identifies critical healthcare moments as they occur, allowing earlier outreach and support than traditional navigation programs or health plans. By embedding CirrusMD’s physician network directly into this model, Quantum Health aims to intervene earlier in the care journey, often at the first moment of need, before conditions escalate or costs rise.
CirrusMD physicians deliver a broad range of virtual primary care and urgent care services, including annual wellness visits, behavioral health support, women’s health care, weight management, lab orders, and preventive screenings. The virtual care approach can reduce unnecessary emergency room visits and delays while directing members toward high-quality providers and appropriate care pathways.
The acquisition also strengthens Quantum Health’s broader platform strategy, following its 2025 acquisition of Embold Health, which expanded provider quality recommendations and clinical steerage capabilities. With CirrusMD integrated into the platform, Quantum Health plans to combine navigation, virtual care, and provider intelligence into a more comprehensive care model.
The combined platform will be supported by Quantum Health’s agentic AI system, which proactively identifies care opportunities, recommends next-best actions, and provides real-time insights to care coordinators and physicians. The AI layer is designed to help deliver earlier interventions, more personalized care guidance, and improved healthcare cost management.
Quantum Health and CirrusMD share a common focus on improving access to care and simplifying the healthcare experience for members. The companies say the combined capabilities will help guide patients more effectively, close care gaps and provide consistent follow-up and engagement.
Following the acquisition, the combined organization will include more than 2,300 employees and serve over 20 million members across private and public sector organizations in the United States.
