Quantum Systems has secured €180 million in a Series C Extension led by Balderton Capital, tripling its valuation to more than €3 billion and marking the largest private capital raise in Europe’s dual-use technology sector this year. The new funding follows the company’s €160 million Series C round completed in May, bringing its total capital raised in 2025 to €340 million.
Headquartered in Gilching, Germany, Quantum Systems has rapidly grown into a leading European provider of dual-use unmanned systems. The new financing will support the company’s expansion across air, land, and maritime domains, as well as its continued investment in AI, hardware, and software development. Quantum Systems plans to accelerate the evolution of its MOSAIC UXS mission software platform, which connects multi-domain solutions for governmental and defense customers.
The company has also been active on the M&A front following its earlier Series C financing, acquiring AirRobot, Nordic Unmanned, and Spleenlab to strengthen its capabilities. The latest capital infusion is expected to support additional strategic acquisitions aimed at broadening its multi-domain offerings.
Quantum Systems’ platforms are currently used by NATO forces across Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Ukraine, where its unmanned systems have been deployed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022. The company employs up to 1,000 people across Germany, Ukraine, the US, Australia, Romania, the UK, and the Baltic states, and continues to scale globally across hardware, software, and AI.
