Quantum X Labs: Technion Professor Oren Kurland Joins Scientific Advisory Board

Quantum X Labs announced the appointment of Professor Oren Kurland to its newly formed Scientific Advisory Board as the company continues expanding its capabilities in quantum science and engineering.

Kurland is a professor and endowed chair at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where he has served as a faculty member since 2006. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University and specializes in information retrieval, data science, and artificial intelligence.

At Technion, Kurland co-founded the institution’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Data Science and received the Yanai Prize for teaching excellence. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.

Kurland has received multiple research awards from Google, Yahoo, and IBM. His research collaborations have included projects with Amazon, Microsoft, and eBay, along with consulting work for startup companies focused on e-commerce applications.

The Scientific Advisory Board is expected to provide strategic scientific guidance and help validate Quantum X Labs’ technological direction as the company advances initiatives in quantum gyroscopes for GPS-denied navigation, atomic clocks, quantum error correction, and quantum applications for biomedicine and cybersecurity.

Quantum X Labs develops technologies across quantum computing, digital advertising, and enterprise artificial intelligence through its subsidiaries. The company’s operations include the development of quantum algorithms for transportation, drug discovery, and security applications, as well as GPS replacement technologies.
