Queue-it: THL Partners To Acquire Majority Stake To Scale AI-Era Traffic Orchestration Platform

THL Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Queue-it, a Copenhagen-based online traffic orchestration platform that helps enterprises and public organizations manage digital traffic surges, protect infrastructure and mitigate bots and abuse. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The investment will be made through THL’s Automation Fund II.

Queue-it and THL plan to use the partnership to accelerate product innovation and expand the company’s global reach.

Founded and headquartered in Denmark, Queue-it provides software that helps organizations maintain reliable access to digital services during periods of unusually high demand.

Its platform is used across industries including ticketing, retail, government and financial services.

Queue-it also helps customers manage malicious or automated traffic, including bots, while providing fair access during high-volume digital events.

The company’s technology has become increasingly relevant as online traffic grows and AI-driven activity changes the volume and nature of digital demand.

THL believes these trends are creating a greater need for intelligent traffic orchestration tools that protect infrastructure while maintaining reliable user experiences.

The investment fits within THL’s broader focus on IT Operations & Data, which includes software companies that help organizations operate, secure and optimize increasingly complex digital infrastructure.

Queue-it has expanded from its Nordic roots into a global software platform.

GRO, the selling shareholder in the transaction, said Queue-it has delivered strong growth, improved profitability, and built a global market position.

After the transaction closes, THL plans to work with Queue-it’s existing management team rather than changing the company’s identity or operating culture.

Queue-it CEO Jesper Essendrop will continue leading the company as it enters its next phase of growth.

The partnership is expected to support continued investment in the platform as customers face more complicated traffic patterns, greater automation and increasingly mission-critical digital operations.

THL sees AI as an important driver of that shift.

AI agents and automated systems can generate substantial volumes of digital activity, increasing the importance of tools that help organizations distinguish legitimate demand from abuse and allocate capacity during critical events.

For Queue-it, THL provides experience scaling global software businesses and additional resources for international expansion.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including required regulatory approvals.
