QuickLogic Names James Sullivan As CFO As It Targets Growth Across eFPGA, Defense And Ruggedized Computing

QuickLogic Corporation has appointed semiconductor finance veteran James Sullivan Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, adding an executive with extensive public-company experience as the programmable logic company pursues growth across embedded FPGA technology, aerospace and defense, and other specialized markets. Sullivan will begin the role on October 5, 2026.

He succeeds Elias Nader, who resigned effective at the close of business on September 18 to pursue other opportunities after approximately four years with QuickLogic.

QuickLogic also reaffirmed its previously announced guidance for the third quarter of 2026, indicating that the CFO transition has not changed its near-term financial outlook.

The San Jose-based fabless semiconductor company develops embedded FPGA, or eFPGA, Hard IP, Strategic Radiation Hardened and antifuse FPGAs, and ruggedized programmable logic solutions.

Its technology is used across aerospace and defense, industrial, computing and consumer markets.

QuickLogic combines programmable semiconductor technology with open-source development tools, allowing customers to incorporate configurable logic into chips and systems while addressing requirements such as low power consumption, customization and operation in demanding environments.

The company is focusing its growth strategy on several areas, including eFPGA intellectual property, antifuse FPGA technology and its Storefront business.

Sullivan’s background provides QuickLogic with a CFO who has spent much of his career working with semiconductor and technology businesses.

Most recently, he served as CFO of Peraso, a publicly traded semiconductor company developing high-performance millimeter-wave wireless technologies.

Peraso’s portfolio includes chipsets, modules, software and intellectual property.

Before joining Peraso, Sullivan spent 14 years as CFO of MoSys, a publicly traded fabless semiconductor company.

He previously held CFO positions at Apptera and 8×8, giving him experience across semiconductor technology as well as software-as-a-service, Voice over IP and unified communications.

Sullivan began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a certified public accountant.

QuickLogic highlighted Sullivan’s experience across advanced wireless, aerospace, defense and autonomous systems as particularly relevant to the company’s current opportunities.

The appointment also adds an executive experienced in building the financial and operating infrastructure of publicly traded technology businesses.

For QuickLogic, that expertise could become increasingly important as the company looks to scale several distinct product and intellectual property businesses while maintaining financial discipline.

Its eFPGA technology enables programmable logic functionality to be embedded directly into semiconductor designs, giving customers the ability to modify or update hardware functionality after manufacturing.

The company also develops radiation-hardened and antifuse FPGA technologies targeted at applications where reliability and resistance to challenging environments can be especially important.

Those capabilities support QuickLogic’s expansion into aerospace and defense markets alongside broader industrial and computing opportunities.

Sullivan said his priorities will include maintaining financial discipline and directing investment toward opportunities capable of supporting QuickLogic’s next stage of growth.

CEO Brian Faith said QuickLogic remains focused on executing its existing strategic priorities despite the leadership transition.

With Sullivan joining in October and third-quarter guidance unchanged, QuickLogic is positioning the CFO change as part of its broader effort to build the financial and operational foundation required to support longer-term expansion.
