Quilter Cheviot has appointed Fergus Caheny as Head of London and Louise Williams to its senior leadership team, with both executives joining the firm’s Executive Committee as it prepares for several planned management transitions.
Caheny will join Quilter Cheviot in January 2027 and brings more than 30 years of industry experience.
He most recently served as a managing partner at Evelyn Partners, where he led one of the firm’s major investment management teams.
Williams will join Quilter Cheviot in November 2026 from Aberdeen Adviser, where she served as Chief Financial Officer. The appointment represents a return to Quilter Group for Williams, who previously held senior finance positions at Quilter plc.
The appointments coincide with several planned departures and retirements.
Nigel Crawford, who established Quilter Cheviot’s Belfast office and has led its London operation for the past eight years, plans to retire in 2027.
Chief Financial & Operating Officer Paul Barnacle will leave later in 2026 after 20 years with the business, while Managing Director of Client Service & Oversight Nick Holmes plans to retire in summer 2027.
Quilter Cheviot is also recruiting a new Chief Operating Officer who will oversee operational improvements, client journeys and other initiatives supporting the firm’s long-term strategy.
