Qureight has raised $20 million in Series B funding to expand its three-dimensional deep learning imaging portfolio and grow its commercial operations across additional therapeutic markets involving lung and heart diseases. The round was led by Molten Ventures, with participation from existing investors Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind and Ascension.
Molten Ventures Partner Dr. Inga Deakin and Hargreave Hale representative Anna Salim will join Qureight’s board of directors.
Qureight provides imaging services and precision endpoints for clinical trials. Its platform combines global imaging contract research organization services, proprietary AI-based lung biomarkers and data science products designed to help biopharmaceutical companies improve trial design, accelerate patient assessment and measure disease progression more precisely.
The financing will support the creation of an AI imaging laboratory that will house Qureight’s three-dimensional chest imaging foundation model. The company expects the model to reduce the amount of data and development time required to build imaging tools for additional diseases.
Qureight plans to develop new models for asthma, pulmonary hypertension, bronchiectasis and drug-induced lung toxicity. These capabilities will complement its existing products for lung fibrosis and expand the number of therapeutic areas supported by its regulatory-compliant, disease-agnostic clinical trial platform.
The company’s imaging CRO services support image collection and handling across clinical trial sites while enabling faster site onboarding and patient inclusion decisions. Its AI lung biomarkers quantify structural changes within specific areas of the lung, potentially helping researchers determine whether a disease is progressing or responding to treatment.
Qureight also develops synthetic control arms, which use historical and real-world data to create comparison groups for clinical studies. When scientifically and regulatorily appropriate, these tools can reduce the number of participants required in a conventional control group, lowering costs and shortening trial timelines.
The company’s technology is already being used by biopharmaceutical partners conducting clinical trials in fibrotic lung diseases. Qureight will use part of the funding to expand its commercial team and meet increasing demand for its imaging CRO services.
Qureight estimates that the global market for lung and heart clinical trials will reach $27.5 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 6.9% over six years.
