Qutwo announced it raised a €25 million angel funding round at a €325 million valuation to build a European AI lab focused on the emerging quantum computing era.
According to the company, the funding round included a group of angel investors consisting of Midas-listed investors, experienced founders, and industry leaders focused on supporting the next generation of AI and quantum computing infrastructure.
Qutwo said the funding will support the development of Qutwo OS, a platform designed to help enterprises capture value from classical and quantum-inspired AI systems today while preparing for broader adoption of quantum computing technologies in the future.
The company believes the transition from CPUs to GPUs fundamentally transformed artificial intelligence, and it sees quantum computing following a similar trajectory as the next major computing shift.
Qutwo said the new funding will accelerate its mission of building next-generation AI technologies designed for a quantum-enabled future. The company is also expanding hiring efforts across multiple roles as it scales operations.
Qutwo was founded by Peter Sarlin, the former CEO and co-founder of Silo AI, one of Europe’s leading AI labs, alongside co-founders Kaj-Mikael Björk and Kuan Yen. Sarlin is known for his work building enterprise AI systems and advancing Europe’s AI ecosystem through Silo AI. Björk brings experience in deep technology, systems architecture, and scaling advanced computing platforms, while Yen has a background in AI research, emerging technologies, and applied machine learning. Together, the founders launched Qutwo to build next-generation AI infrastructure designed for the quantum computing era, helping enterprises prepare for the future convergence of classical AI and quantum technologies.
