Quva Pharma has acquired a portfolio of essential medications from Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, or CAPS, following CAPS’ decision to exit the 503B sterile compounding business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Quva expects to begin introducing selected products from the acquired portfolio in phases later in 2026, followed by additional product launches over the subsequent six months.
The portfolio includes medications such as Cardioplegia, Total Parenteral Nutrition, and Heparin that are used by hospitals and healthcare providers in critical areas of patient care.
Quva and CAPS are collaborating on the transition in an effort to maintain continuity of supply for U.S. hospitals and health systems. Quva has also committed to providing employment opportunities for CAPS employees supporting the affected sterile compounding operations.
Quva operates more than 200,000 square feet of FDA-registered 503B manufacturing facilities in New Jersey and Texas, along with approximately 100,000 square feet of forward distribution centers in Texas and Arizona.
The company serves more than 3,500 hospitals and health-system customers nationwide with sterile compounded medications.
Quva said the acquisition fits its strategy of investing in specialized medication categories that can be difficult for hospitals to prepare reliably at scale. The company plans to support the acquired products with manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, distribution infrastructure, technology, and personnel.

“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with CAPS to maintain the supply of these critical medications. Health systems depend on prepared medications that are essential to patient care but difficult to produce reliably at scale. This acquisition reflects our commitment to investing in the specialized products, manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, distribution infrastructure, technology, and people needed to support these critical medication categories. We look forward to working with CAPS and our health-system customers to maintain supply and build more dependable solutions for the future.”
