Radiant Logistics has acquired the Dallas operations of Whitacre Logistics Services through its wholly owned Radiant Road & Rail subsidiary.

The acquisition became effective October 1, 2026 and expands Radiant’s intermodal and over-the-road brokerage operations.

Whitacre’s Dallas business serves customers across industries including building materials, industrial manufacturing and packaging.

Radiant structured the deal similarly to previous acquisitions, with a portion of the expected purchase price payable in future periods based on the performance of the acquired operations. The total transaction value was not disclosed.

The Dallas operation will become part of Radiant Road & Rail and continue under the leadership of Jeff Vielhaber.

Vielhaber will also take responsibility for agent network development at Radiant Road & Rail and report to Chris Brach, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Radiant’s U.S. brokerage operations.

Radiant plans to combine the acquired operation with its existing technology and transportation platform while introducing customers to additional services including domestic and international freight forwarding, customs brokerage and other value-added logistics services.

Whitacre will continue focusing on its core operations in the Ohio Valley.

KEY QUOTES:

“Dallas represented an exciting expansion opportunity for us, and much of that operation is intermodal in nature, a space where Radiant has deep expertise. This transaction allows us to put the Dallas business in the right hands while we stay focused on our core operations in the Ohio Valley. I’m grateful to Radiant for being a partner who understands and respects what we’ve built, and I’m confident our Dallas customers and employees will be well served under Jeff’s continued leadership.”

Gary Whitacre, Owner of Whitacre Logistics Services

“Through years of dedicated service, our customers have always remained our top priority, and finding the right long-term partner for them was essential to me. Radiant’s technology platform and deep bench of intermodal experience make them an ideal fit to support the business we’ve built in Dallas. I’m excited to bring that same customer-first approach to a broader stage, both in continuing to grow our Dallas account base and in helping Radiant expand its agent network across the country.”

Jeff Vielhaber

“We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with Gary Whitacre on the Dallas transaction and look forward to working with Jeff and the rest of the team. We are keen to accelerate the growth of our bi-modal brokerage platform and this transaction represents a tremendous opportunity to support the acquired account base with our robust technology platform and an expanded service offering, including domestic and international forwarding, customs brokerage and a range of other value-added services.”
