Radiant Logistics has appointed David Buss as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, adding an executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience across transportation and logistics.
Buss will work closely with the company’s business unit leaders to support organic growth as well as due diligence and integration associated with Radiant’s ongoing acquisition strategy.
He will report to founder and CEO Bohn Crain.
Buss most recently served as Chief Executive Officer, North America Cluster for DB Schenker, where he led the U.S. division and coordinated business unit and commercial activities across the organization.
During his tenure, the business improved its operating margin by more than 200% over five years.
Buss was later promoted into DB Schenker’s newly created North America Cluster leadership position and served on the integration steering committee for the company’s 2022 acquisition of USA Truck.
Before DB Schenker, Buss served as Chief Operating Officer of STG Logistics.
There, he led operational due diligence for three acquisitions and integration work involving seven acquisitions, helping build a $380 million independent logistics outsourcing company.
He also led revenue and margin improvement initiatives that generated more than $20 million in value creation.
Earlier in his career, Buss held senior positions at UTI Worldwide, Panther Premium Logistics, AIT Worldwide Logistics, Expeditors International and Eagle Global Logistics, now part of CEVA Logistics.
Radiant’s logistics platform spans domestic and international freight forwarding, truck and rail brokerage, customs brokerage, order fulfillment, inventory management and warehousing.
Those services are increasingly connected through Navegate, Radiant’s proprietary global trade management and collaboration platform.
