Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group has raised $40 million, or approximately ₹400 crore, to expand its precision manufacturing, mission systems and autonomous technology businesses. Norwest and Skegen Asset Management led the round, with participation from Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures and investor Ashish Kacholia.
The Hyderabad-based company plans to use the funding to increase manufacturing capacity across its facilities in India, the United Kingdom and the United States. Capital will also support development of an integrated manufacturing campus at Hardware Park near Hyderabad International Airport.
Raghu Vamsi will make additional investments in its Mission Systems and Deep-Tech & Autonomous Systems divisions. These businesses extend the company beyond contract manufacturing into proprietary aerospace and defense products.
Founded more than two decades ago, Raghu Vamsi has grown into an international manufacturing platform with more than 1,200 employees and over 10 facilities across three countries. The group currently has an order book exceeding ₹2,500 crore.
The company manufactures precision aero-engine components and subassemblies for customers including GE Aerospace, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell and Safran. It also serves energy companies such as Baker Hughes, Halliburton, SLB and GE.
Raghu Vamsi offers design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and assembly services through an integrated operating model. Its capabilities include computer numerical control machining, sheet metal fabrication, composite manufacturing, electronics, gears, fasteners and NADCAP-approved special processes.
NADCAP accreditation is commonly required for specialized manufacturing processes used in aerospace and defense supply chains. The certification helps demonstrate that a supplier’s processes meet demanding industry quality and technical standards.
The company’s mission systems portfolio includes micro turbojet engines, aircraft hydraulic pumps and missile subsystems for defense programs. These products require specialized engineering, precision manufacturing and testing capabilities that complement Raghu Vamsi’s existing aerospace operations.
Its ARROBOT platform is developing internal-combustion and jet-powered drone technologies, along with unmanned ground vehicles for India’s armed forces. The financing will support continued development of these autonomous systems and other domestically designed defense technologies.
The new Hardware Park campus is expected to further integrate the group’s manufacturing and engineering operations. Developing additional capacity near Hyderabad International Airport could also support logistics, customer access and the production of aerospace components at greater scale.
The funding reflects increasing investor interest in Indian companies supporting global aerospace supply chains and domestic defense manufacturing. Raghu Vamsi plans to use its international facilities and engineering capabilities to serve established global customers while developing more proprietary products in India.
The company has established collaborations with Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology and research organizations such as the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials. It also works with defense agencies including the Aeronautical Development Agency and Defence Research and Development Organisation.
These partnerships are intended to support research, talent development and the commercialization of aerospace and defense technologies. Raghu Vamsi believes its combination of manufacturing scale, engineering capabilities and institutional relationships can strengthen its position in global and Indian markets.
