Raymond James has recently made a significant addition to its team in Michigan, welcoming a group of dedicated financial advisors to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS), the firm’s independent advisor channel. According to David Sisemore, the Midwest division director for RJFS, these professionals bring a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to serving their clients.
The new team is composed of three qualified advisors—Gregory Hinkson, CFP; Adam Miller, AIF; and Thomas Boogren, CFP—along with Lynn Gasser, who serves as their Registered Client Service Manager. They previously worked together at Commonwealth Financial Network, where they managed a client asset portfolio totaling around $450 million.
Operating under the name Hinkson Wealth Management and based in Troy, Michigan, this team specializes in helping a diverse range of clients, including those approaching retirement, retirees, business owners, and medical professionals. Greg Hinkson, the team’s founder, has been in the industry for over three decades. He joined Commonwealth in 2005 and brings 34 years of experience in the financial services industry. Hinkson holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Penn State University and has earned the CFP designation.
Adam Miller began his career in finance in 2007, also with Commonwealth, and has since accumulated 17 years of experience. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation, demonstrating his expertise in acting in his clients’ best interests.
Thomas Boogren, who is also a CFP professional, joined the team in 2022. His background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and he brings a fresh perspective combined with a solid foundation in financial planning.
This expansion highlights Raymond James’ ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in Michigan. It underscores the firm’s dedication to providing personalized financial advice through experienced professionals committed to their clients’ financial well-being.
