Raymond James Onboards $420 Million Firm Forsa Wealth Partners

Raymond James Financial Services has expanded its independent advisor channel with the addition of a veteran father-and-son advisory team overseeing $420 million in client assets. John Murphy and Sean Murphy, CFP, ChFC, have joined the firm as Forsa Wealth Partners, bringing decades of combined experience and a substantial client base from Edward Jones. The team will continue operating from Chesapeake, Virginia, and will be joined by financial professional Megan Howell, AAMS.

The Murphys serve a diverse roster of clients, with particular emphasis on high-net-worth families, business owners, and corporate executives. Their practice centers on comprehensive wealth planning, including retirement preparation, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.

John Murphy brings more than thirty years of industry experience, along with a background as a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1986 to 1992. During his tenure at Edward Jones, he spent thirteen years as a regional leader and ten years as a general partner. Sean Murphy joined the industry in 2018, holds a degree in finance from Hood College, and has earned both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
