Financial services company Raymond James recently hired two wirehouse advisors that are overseeing $370 million in cumulative client assets, according to On Wall Street. Michael Borza and John Malatino were hired to join the employee channel called Raymond James & Associates at the firm’s Virginia Beach, Virginia and Viera, Florida offices, respectively.

Malatino previously worked at Wells Fargo Advisors as a financial advisor for about 21 years. And Borza worked as a wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for nearly 9 years.

The two new Raymond James recruits are joining a team of over 8,000 independent and employee advisors at the company. Raymond James currently has $876 billion in assets under management.

Borza will be joined by senior client associate Angela Toney. And Malatino will be bringing senior client service associate Fiona Walker and his wife and marketing associate Jennifer Malatino with him.

“After much due diligence, it was obvious that Raymond James was the right decision,” said Malatino in a statement. “I plan on staying here for the long run, so it needed to be the perfect fit in terms of shared integrity and values.”
