Raymond James has welcomed St. Louis-based financial advisor Janet Bone, CFP, to Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s employee advisor channel, according to Amy Smart, Mid-American regional director for RJA.
Bone joins from Benjamin F. Edwards & Company, where she previously managed approximately $175 million in client assets. She is joined at Raymond James by senior registered client service associate Peggy Rakers. The practice serves a mix of families and individuals, including pre-retirees and retirees, and will operate from St. Louis.
The move is positioned as a combination of continuity for clients and additional resources for the team, with Raymond James highlighting its employee-advisor channel and broader platform. Bone cited succession planning as a key consideration, pointing to the ability to support long-term client relationships as advisory practices mature and clients’ planning needs become more complex. She also pointed to technology enhancements as a factor that can improve day-to-day execution for both advisors and clients.
Bone brings decades of industry experience to the firm. She began her financial services career in 1986 and joined Raymond James & Associates after 13 years at her prior firm. She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and holds the CFP designation, which is commonly associated with comprehensive financial planning spanning investments, retirement strategy, estate planning, and other long-term financial goals.
Raymond James & Associates, a member of the New York Stock Exchange and SIPC, provides financial planning and wealth management services to individuals, high-net-worth families, corporations, and municipalities. The firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, a diversified financial services company with advisors throughout the United States, Canada, and overseas. Raymond James reported total client assets of approximately $1.77 trillion as of Nov. 30, 2025.
