Raymond James Investment Management, a global asset management firm with a substantial portfolio of $114.7 billion in assets under management, has appointed Johan Grahn as the new Head of ETFs. This appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to expanding and enhancing its ETF product lineup.
Johan Grahn brings with him a wealth of experience in investment management, product innovation, portfolio management, research, and distribution. His extensive background includes leading efforts to create and grow ETF businesses for major firms, most notably his recent role at Allianz Investment Management, where he successfully launched more than 40 defined outcome ETFs. Before that, he spearheaded the development and management of a risk-managed, multi-asset lineup of subadvised funds for MetLife, which grew to over $35 billion in assets.
In his new role, Grahn will collaborate closely with Matt Johnson, the firm’s Head of Product and Marketing, as well as Susan Walzer, President of Raymond James Investment Management’s Family of Funds. Together, they will work on further developing and expanding Raymond James’ ETF offerings, aiming to meet the evolving needs of their clients.
Grahn’s deep understanding of serving institutional investors, broker-dealers, Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs), and financial advisors positions him well to deliver tailored solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals. His comprehensive expertise in product development, coupled with his strategic insight, is expected to play a critical role in Raymond James’ efforts to grow its ETF business.
