Raymond James has appointed Elyn Davis Senior Vice President of Client Experience for its RIA & Custody Services division as part of a planned leadership succession and broader effort to scale the organization to meet clients’ evolving needs.
Davis brings 29 years of experience across financial services and the RIA custody industry, with expertise spanning client experience, operations, and strategic execution.
In her new role, Davis will work closely with Michelle Sovcik, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for RIA & Custody Services, as Raymond James prepares for a planned leadership transition.
Davis is expected to succeed Sovcik as Chief Operating Officer following Sovcik’s retirement at the end of 2026.
The transition is part of what Raymond James described as a deliberate succession strategy intended to preserve continuity while preparing the RIA & Custody Services organization for continued growth.
Sovcik has spent more than three decades in financial services and has held a senior leadership role within the division, helping oversee operations and support the firm’s RIA custody business.
Davis’ appointment gives her an opportunity to work alongside Sovcik during the transition period before assuming broader operational leadership responsibilities.
The move also reflects Raymond James’ continued investment in its RIA & Custody Services platform as independent advisors and registered investment advisory firms increasingly require scalable custody, operational, and client-service infrastructure.
