Raymond James recently brought in a team of five financial advisors to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – in Juneau, Alaska as announced by Dominic Prioli, Central regional director for RJA.
This team includes advisors Peter Jurasz, CPFA, Rebecca Hall, CPWA, Harold Heidersdorf, CFP, Christian Veliz, ChFC, and Ryian Jurasz. And they arrive from Merrill Lynch, where they managed over $740 million in client assets, and are joined by client service associates Valcarrie Bingel, Averyl Veliz, Destiny Buruato and Sage Logan.
As the JHV Group of Raymond James, they utilize their nearly 70 years of collective industry experience to serve business owners, corporations, endowments and foundations, families, and non-profits as part of RJA’s Juneau branch. RJA’s central division sales manager Nancy Olzack assisted their transition.
As managing director of the practice, Peter Jurasz has over 34 years of financial advising experience, most recently serving at Merrill Lynch since 2009. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in economics from Willamette University, he has the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation. Even though he began his career over three decades ago, he finds the challenge of helping others realize their financial goals extraordinarily rewarding.
Before joining Raymond James, Hall was affiliated with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management since 2011 and continues to enjoy the challenges and rewards the financial industry brings. She holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Heidersdorf brings 18+ years of industry experience to his role as senior vice president of wealth management. In addition to his previous 14-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, his professional experience is backed by the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation.
Veliz previously served seven years in both retail bank management and investment services at KeyBank N.A. and Key Investment Services. Then he became an advisor at Merrill Lynch for seven years, focusing on assisting clients in articulating their goals and simplifying complex financial needs, including investment management, business exit strategies and retirement planning.
Ryian, daughter to Peter, joined the team in 2021. And she brings over three years of financial services industry experience.
