Raymond James has welcomed financial advisors Cory Matsumoto, Rey Carandang, and Genae Affrunti to Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s employee advisor channel. Operating as Capital Reserve Group of Raymond James in Newport Beach, California, the team arrives from Comerica, where they managed $5.4 billion in client assets.
The team provides financial planning, investment management, and institutional consulting services to families, individuals, business owners, corporate executives, family offices, retirees, endowments, foundations, and nonprofits. They are joined by Senior Registered Client Relationship Associate Julia Bica and Client Relationship Associate Brian Toyama.
Matsumoto, senior vice president of wealth management, began his financial services career in 2001 and joins RJA after 20 years at his previous firm. Carandang brings 25 years of industry experience to his role as senior vice president of wealth management. Affrunti, also senior vice president of wealth management, began her career in 2001 and joins after 12 years at her previous firm.
