Rebellions: $250 Million At $1.4 Billion Valuation Secured For Advancing Next-Gen AI Infrastructure

Rebellions, a rapidly expanding AI inference chip company based in Asia, announced today that it has closed a $250 million Series C funding round. As part of the funding round, Arm has become a strategic partner. The round also attracted considerable support from other key industry players, including Samsung Ventures and Pegatron VC, which strengthens Rebellions’ strategic connections throughout the semiconductor and AI module ecosystem. Follow-on investments from existing backers, such as the Korea Development Bank and Korelya Capital, further demonstrated confidence in the company’s direction. The round also welcomed new international investors, including Lion X Ventures, signaling broad global interest in the company’s technology.

The Arm collaboration aims to foster innovation for the next generation of AI data center infrastructure. And this latest funding round elevates the company’s valuation to $1.4 billion and is expected to significantly accelerate its development of efficient, large-scale artificial intelligence hardware.

With this new funding, Rebellions plans to expedite the mass production of its latest chip, the REBEL-Quad. The investment will also fuel the company’s broader product roadmap, which is focused on chiplet-based designs. These designs aim to provide the energy-efficient yet advanced inference infrastructure required to run the world’s most sophisticated and demanding AI models. The company’s focus remains on delivering high-performance solutions tailored for AI inference, a process that utilizes a trained AI model to make predictions.

The company has already achieved commercial success with its first-generation products, the ATOM and ATOM-Max chips. These chips are currently in mass production and have been deployed with customers across several international markets, including Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Furthermore, they are the hardware powering Korea’s largest commercial AI service. Building on this foundation, Rebellions introduced its second-generation accelerator, the REBEL-Quad, in August.

The company has described it as the world’s first UCIe-Advanced AI accelerator, engineered to provide peta-scale inference capabilities with exceptional energy efficiency and scalability for modern data centers.

Looking ahead, Rebellions intends to capitalize on this momentum to expand its international footprint. The company is planning a significant expansion of its presence in the United States, Europe, and other key markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

This global growth strategy includes supporting sovereign AI infrastructure initiatives in various countries and attracting top-tier talent from the competitive AI and semiconductor industries to further its research and development efforts.
