Rebound Technologies announced that it has secured a $2 million strategic investment from KCC Manufacturing, strengthening their preferred manufacturing partnership and accelerating the scale-up of Rebound’s IcePoint thermal energy storage technology.

The investment follows the successful completion of key manufacturing milestones and is expected to support broader commercial deployment of IcePoint systems across industries facing increasing energy demand and cooling constraints. These sectors include data centers, food processing, and district cooling infrastructure, where reliable and efficient cooling is critical.

Rebound’s IcePoint technology is designed to decouple cooling generation from consumption. By producing and storing cooling during off-peak periods and deploying it during peak demand, the system enables facilities to reduce energy costs, lower peak load, and maintain consistent performance during high-demand periods. This approach addresses the growing strain on energy infrastructure as electricity demand and cooling requirements continue to rise.

Thermal energy storage is increasingly being viewed as a key infrastructure layer for managing both performance and energy efficiency in next-generation cooling systems. Rebound is scaling its manufacturing capabilities alongside its technology to meet this demand and bring its solution into more widespread adoption.

KCC Manufacturing has collaborated closely with Rebound throughout early production phases, supporting development and delivery milestones that demonstrate the scalability of the IcePoint platform. The expanded partnership is expected to further streamline manufacturing and accelerate deployment timelines.
