Rede Partners announced it appointed Riccardo Villa to the newly created Head of Strategic Capital Advisory role. Villa joins Rede with 20 years of experience from Lazard to deepen the firm’s capabilities in supporting clients in building their franchises through accessing capital at the portfolio and corporate levels.
This includes enhancing Rede’s existing capabilities in delivering GP-driven secondary transactions and fund financing to integrate a full spectrum of minority equity, M&A, and alternative liquidity solutions. And Villa will support Rede’s role as a trusted strategic advisor to its GP clients, focusing on franchise and inorganic expansion opportunities.
Villa has substantial M&A and independent advisory experience focused on private capital in Europe and the Middle East. And in his previous work at Lazard, he was a Managing Director in London responsible for the Financial Sponsors advisory. During his time at Lazard, he advised various alternative asset managers, institutional investors and portfolio companies about M&A, equity and debt capital markets, and secondary market transactions across geographies and sectors. This included advising on over 30 large-cap and mid-market transactions since 2020 alone, representing c.$40 billion in value.
