Redpine, an AI data company focused on unlocking premium, non-public data for high-impact domains, has raised $8 million in seed funding. The round was led by NordicNinja VC, with participation from Node.vc and Luminar Ventures.
The round also includes a notable group of angels spanning the AI and technology ecosystem, among them Peter Sarlin, co-founder of AMD Silo AI, Patrik Liu Tran, co-founder of Validio, Anna Nordell Westling, co-founder of Sana, Colin M. Evans from OpenAI, Gustav Lindqvist from Perplexity, and Eric Carlson Rydman at Aligned Ventures, alongside angels with ties to Spotify including Dan McCormick and Greens Ventures.
Redpine addresses what it describes as the AI data gap, partnering with leading data owners and rights holders to surface premium, non-public datasets while ensuring compliance, compensation, and attribution for data providers. The company’s focus is on bringing high-quality proprietary data into AI development pipelines in a structured and rights-respecting way, targeting use cases in domains where data quality and legitimacy are critical.
The seed capital will be used to scale data partnerships with premium providers globally, deepen the company’s work with leading AI labs, advance its technical platform, and expand its team.
