Redwood Logistics, a Chicago-based fourth-party logistics provider, has announced its acquisition of Cincinnati-based managed transportation company Stridas, strengthening its capabilities in freight optimization, procurement, and commercial solution design.

The deal enhances Redwood’s managed transportation offering by adding Stridas’ data-driven approach and expertise in consumer goods supply chains. The combined company aims to provide more comprehensive and scalable solutions for shippers navigating increasingly complex freight markets.

Stridas is known for its ability to redesign freight networks and deliver measurable cost improvements through a structured commercial methodology. By integrating this approach with Redwood’s infrastructure, cross-border capabilities, and technology platform, the combined entity is positioned to deepen long-term customer partnerships and deliver more consistent savings.

The acquisition comes as demand for managed transportation solutions continues to grow, driven by shippers seeking greater cost predictability and fewer fragmented provider relationships. Redwood said the addition of Stridas strengthens its ability to meet these needs with integrated, optimization-driven solutions.

Redwood’s platform, including its RedwoodConnect technology, will be combined with Stridas’ capabilities to create a more unified ecosystem for managing supply chains. The company said this integration will allow customers to benefit from improved visibility, smarter decision-making, and long-term operational efficiencies.

Republic Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Stridas on the transaction.

Redwood Logistics said the acquisition aligns with its broader strategy to build a fully integrated logistics platform that combines execution, technology, and strategic freight management into a single coordinated solution.
