Reed Smith: Niket Rele Returns As Partner In Global Corporate Group In Miami

Global law firm Reed Smith announced that Niket Rele has rejoined the firm in its Miami office as a partner in the Global Corporate Group. Rele previously served as a partner at Reed Smith from 2015 to 2022.

Rele represents established and emerging companies on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and general corporate counseling. He is particularly recognized for his India–U.S. practice, advising India-based public and private companies on M&A transactions, dispute resolution, and other legal matters, while also helping U.S.-based companies with market entry strategies and acquisitions in India.

In addition, Rele advises service providers and customers on outsourcing matters. His work includes structuring and negotiating sole-sourced and competitive-bid outsourcing arrangements, including business-process engagements, IT services, knowledge-process outsourcing, software licensing, and technology transfers. He also assists clients with litigation, international arbitration, import and export compliance, employment matters, data privacy and security issues, and restructuring.

Rele’s return strengthens Reed Smith’s Global Corporate Group and enhances the firm’s capabilities in India, an increasingly important market for many of its clients. His experience with cross-border transactions and international markets further expands the firm’s ability to advise clients on complex global business matters.

Following his earlier tenure at Reed Smith, Rele served as a partner at Arnold & Porter. Earlier in his career, he was also a partner at other U.S. firms and worked at leading law firms in India. Rele is qualified to practice law in both the United States and India and is fluent in Hindi and Marathi. He earned an LL.M. from American University and received his LL.B. and undergraduate degree from Bombay University.
