Reel Power International: New Investment Secured From StoneTree

StoneTree Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on lower-middle-market industrial businesses, has invested in Reel Power International, an Oklahoma City-based manufacturer of engineered equipment used in wire, cable, and flexible-material handling applications.

Reel Power operates from its headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and also has a facility in Houston, Texas. The company manufactures engineered, automated solutions for reeling, winding, and coiling, with products designed to increase throughput for customers who manage wire, cable, and other flexible materials. Through its family of brands, including Reel Power Industrial and Reel Power Marine & Energy, the company offers standard and highly engineered systems as well as aftermarket parts, service, certification, and field support.

StoneTree said the investment aligns with its strategy of backing niche industrial businesses, where it can partner with management teams to support operational improvements and long-term expansion. Reel Power and StoneTree both framed the transaction as a platform for scaling automation and systems offerings, strengthening customer relationships, and investing in the company’s people and capabilities across its two operating sites.

Support: Reel Power was advised by Mesirow Financial, and McGuireWoods LLP served as legal advisor to StoneTree. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. StoneTree also noted that it has roughly $200 million in assets under management.
