Reflection AI: $130 Million Secured For Building Superintelligent Autonomous Systems

Reflection AI has emerged from stealth mode, focusing on creating autonomous coding systems. The company has raised $25 million in a seed funding round led by Sequoia Capital and CRV and $105 million in a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and CRV.

The company said three things define it:

1.) A team behind some of the most capable RL and LLM systems ever created – the two building blocks for superintelligence.

2.) An emphasis on building the best autonomous coding systems in the world. Rather than doing many things, we do one thing really well.

3.) An equal emphasis on research and product. Superintelligence cannot be built in a vacuum.

Two former Google DeepMind researchers founded the company: Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou.

The company has several customers across multiple sectors, including finance and technology. Reflection’s autonomous coding agents integrate directly into codebases and engineering workflows while autonomously tackling well-scoped engineering tasks entirely end-to-end. They read, write, test and deploy code, handling all the infrastructure on your behalf, relieving the burden of entire engineering workloads from developers and teams.
