Rejuvenate Bio, a biotechnology company focused on developing gene therapies for chronic and age-related diseases, announced the closing of a $6 million financing round led by VCapital. Additional participants in the round include Merck Animal Health, Kendall Capital Partners, Connecticut Innovations, and Digitalis.

Alongside the financing, Rejuvenate Bio has entered into a strategic research and development collaboration with Merck Animal Health. The partnership will focus on advancing a novel gene therapy program for animal health, leveraging Rejuvenate Bio’s platform technologies and expertise in translational biology and longevity science.

The new capital will support the continued development of the company’s gene therapy platform and pipeline, including treatments targeting chronic and age-associated diseases in companion animals. Rejuvenate Bio is developing therapies designed to extend healthy lifespan and address conditions associated with aging through targeted biological interventions.

Founded on research originating from the Wyss Institute at Harvard Medical School, Rejuvenate Bio has built a pipeline centered on clinically validated gene targets and delivery technologies intended to provide durable and well-tolerated therapeutic effects. While the company’s current focus includes companion animal health, its long-term vision also extends to potential human health applications.

Merck Animal Health said the investment and collaboration reflect its commitment to supporting innovative technologies that address unmet needs in veterinary medicine. The partnership is expected to explore new therapeutic approaches that could transform the treatment of chronic diseases in animals.

Headquartered in San Diego, Rejuvenate Bio believes advances in gene delivery, translational biology, and longevity science can create a new generation of therapies capable of improving health outcomes and extending quality of life for both animals and, eventually, humans.
