RelaDyne, a U.S. lubricant distributor that also sells fuel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and industrial reliability services, has acquired Dennis Oil Company, a family-owned blender and distributor of commercial and industrial lubricants serving customers across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Dennis Oil Company, founded in 1940 and headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, has expanded over eight decades from supplying case goods for service stations to a bulk-lubricant provider for end markets including trucking, manufacturing, excavation, and quarrying. The company offers engine oils, DEF, hydraulic oils, gear oils, and grease to customers spanning manufacturing, trucking, automotive, mining, railroad, and agriculture.
Dennis Oil President Jeff Dennis said joining RelaDyne creates an opportunity to broaden product offerings and service capabilities within Dennis Oil’s existing footprint while expanding reach to new customers. He added that the combination is expected to support continued growth with long-standing customers and create new opportunities for associates.
RelaDyne CEO Eric Royse said the acquisition strengthens RelaDyne’s Midwest operations by adding density in key regional markets and pairing RelaDyne’s platform with Dennis Oil’s customer relationships, product expertise, and long-standing reputation in the commercial and industrial sectors. RelaDyne Chief Strategy Officer David Schumacher said the deal aligns with the company’s strategic investment priorities in the “Heartland of America” and broader Midwest, citing Dennis Oil’s market position built on customer service, reliability, and quality across commercial and industrial end markets.
RelaDyne described itself as an “Acquirer of Choice” in the lubricants, fuel, and reliability services industry, positioning the Dennis Oil transaction as part of its ongoing expansion strategy in core Midwest markets.
