Relationship training app company Relish announced it has raised $5 million in Series A funding. This round of funding was led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from previous investors, Trinity Ventures, and Bullpen Capital. And this latest round brings the company’s total funding to $7.2 million. In addition to the raise, Rob Stavis, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners will join Relish’s board of directors.
Relish was founded by serial tech entrepreneur and co-founder of FanDuel Lesley Eccles. And Relish has a goal of improving all human relationships. The company has a goal of teaching active mindfulness, relationship skills, and interactive quizzes. Plus it helps provide insights into yourself and your partner.
The company uses machine learning and human intervention for creating customized less plans to improve relationships. And the app encourages better communication and deeper connections along with more intimacy between partners.
With the funding round, the company is planning to hire more engineers and expand its team of licensed coaches and expand internationally. And the company is planning to double the size of its engineering team and build out the suite of products that it offers individuals and couples.
Relish is available on iOS and Android to users in the US and UK. And it will be rolling out internationally later this year. It is free to download and the premium version costs $39.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
