Rematch Raises $3.5 Million To Expand Global Grassroots Sports Media Platform

Rematch announced a $3.5 million funding round to accelerate international expansion, invest in technology and artificial intelligence capabilities, and scale its vision of becoming the leading media infrastructure platform for grassroots sports.

Founded in 2017 in Bordeaux, France, Rematch has grown into one of Europe’s fastest-growing grassroots sports media platforms. The company has generated more than 1 billion fully organic views globally and enabled the creation of millions of videos through its community of creators, capturing sports highlights from local fields and courts.

Following the launch of Rematch US in 2024 and the establishment of its U.S. headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, the company has experienced rapid growth in North America. Within months of entering the U.S. market, Rematch generated tens of millions of views, activated thousands of creators, and established partnerships with organizations across youth soccer, flag football, volleyball, and other grassroots sports communities.

The company has surpassed $1.2 million in annual revenue and works with major sports organizations, global brands, and youth sports groups. Rematch believes the growing popularity of user-generated sports content, combined with advances in artificial intelligence and mobile video consumption, creates an opportunity to organize and distribute grassroots sports content at scale.

Rematch plans to use the new capital to expand globally, strengthen its product and AI teams, and provide tools that enable supporters, parents, volunteers, clubs, and creators to capture and share sports highlights. Long-term shareholders include Intervalle Capital, Stéphanie Gottlib-Zeh, Rightbear Holding, and Bpifrance.
