Renaissance Buying Business Of Consolidated Insurance Agents

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jan 9, 2025

Renaissance, a premier network of independent insurance agencies, announced it has acquired the agency network business of Consolidated Insurance Agents (CIA), an agency group based in Buffalo, N.Y. And the arrangement gives CIA’s 23 members – collectively representing $47 million in premium – the opportunity to utilize the benefits that help Renaissance’s members improve their agency efficiency, drive revenue, and increase profitability.

Renaissance’s network benefits include expanded market access, placement services, technology and service resources for independent insurance agents looking to grow their business and maximize efficiency. And the acquisition bolsters both CIA members’ financial stability and carrier contract value in an increasingly competitive market environment.

This deal heralds Renaissance’s further expansion into the Mid-Atlantic region and follows the network’s acquisitions of United Agents of Arizona, a Mesa-based agency group representing $170 million in premium, and Agency Partners Inc. (API), an agency cluster with members in Alabama and Georgia representing $160 million in premium.
