Renterra: $9 Million Series A Raised To Scale AI-Driven Equipment Rental Software

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jan 21, 2026

Renterra has raised $9 million in a Series A round to accelerate the growth of its equipment rental software platform and expand its use of practical AI tools for rental operators.

The financing was led by Avenue Growth Partners with participation from existing investors. Renterra said the new capital will be used to scale the business across North America, add headcount across engineering, product, customer success, and go-to-market teams, and continue investing in its platform and longer-term product roadmap.

Renterra positions its product as an all-in-one operating system for equipment rental businesses, designed to modernize day-to-day operations, enhance the customer experience, and help rental companies grow. The company said its platform is used by hundreds of rental companies across the United States and Canada and supports annual rental transactions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.

The round comes as rental businesses face rising pressure to run more efficiently while competing on speed, availability, and service. Renterra said it is increasing its focus on AI-driven capabilities designed to help rental companies operate more intelligently, market more effectively, and make better decisions at scale, framing its approach as “practical AI” built into workflows rather than stand-alone tools.

KEY QUOTES”

“This investment gives us the fuel to move even faster and think even bigger. Rental businesses are the backbone of construction, infrastructure, and local economies, yet they’ve historically been underserved by technology. We’re building the platform that will define how this industry operates for the next decade, with AI playing a practical role in helping rental companies win. We’re excited to partner with Avenue Growth Partners and our existing investors as we scale.”

Andy Feis, Co-Founder and CEO, Renterra

“Renterra has built a product that is already having a transformational impact on how rental businesses operate. The team’s combination of industry expertise and modern software positions Renterra to become foundational to the rental industry, especially as AI becomes an increasingly important driver of competitive advantage.”
