Rently Secures $12 Million Growth Credit Facility From January Capital

Rently has secured a $12 million growth credit facility from January Capital to expand its rent payment platform across Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and additional markets.

The facility is designed to scale alongside transaction volumes, allowing Rently to use credit capital to support its rent flexibility products while preserving equity funding for product development, technology, and geographic expansion.

Rently currently processes more than $50 million in annualized rental volume. Year-to-date transaction volume is nearly three times the comparable period in 2025, with more than 2,400 tenants using the platform.

The company enables tenants to select more flexible ways to pay rent while providing landlords with structured and timely payments.

In Hong Kong, where Rently launched in July 2026, tenants using the platform generated HKD 62.1 million, or approximately $8 million, of rental transaction volume during its first quarter.

The company offers Hong Kong tenants the ability to earn rewards on rent payments, delay payments according to their cash flow needs, and reduce upfront move-in costs by spreading security deposits across a lease.

Rently is also developing partnerships with co-living operators to broaden its reach in the Hong Kong market.

The company operates in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE and uses AI across its operations to improve efficiency as transaction volume grows.

The facility further strengthens Rently’s capital structure as the company prepares for a Series A fundraising round and plans to enter additional markets in 2027.

Rently previously raised $3 million in Pre-Series A funding and is backed by investors including Hustle Fund, 5I Ventures, Woh Hup, Orvel, Orange Bloom, and Feedback Ventures.

KEY QUOTES:

“Hong Kong has some of the highest rents in the world, and landlords still ask tenants for a lot of cash upfront. Tenants expect flexibility in their largest monthly line of expense, they should decide how and when they pay the rent. The US$12M facility lets us meet that demand quickly.”

Siebren Khamphorst, Co-Founder Of Rently

“Rently addresses a real financing constraint for tenants across different rental markets. This investment underscores January Capital’s commitment to supporting fast-growing companies in the Asia-Pacific region with flexible, non-dilutive credit solutions and we are pleased to partner with Rently through this next phase of growth.”

Jason Edwards, Partner, Growth Credit At January Capital

“Rent is the biggest payment most people make, and still the least flexible. This capital lets us say yes to more tenants, faster, across the UAE, Singapore and Hong Kong, while our equity stays focused on building new products and expanding into new markets.”
