Resideo Sells Grid Services Demand Response Business to EnergyHub

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 4, 2025

Resideo Technologies has divested its Grid Services demand response unit to EnergyHub, sharpening its focus on core residential sensing and controls products. The business, which primarily serves utility clients, will fold into EnergyHub’s grid-edge flexibility platform, already used by more than 120 utilities serving over 55 million customers.

The sale enables Resideo to double down on its professional contractor and integrator channels while continuing to support demand response through third-party platform integrations with its thermostats and connected home products.

For EnergyHub, the acquisition expands its ability to manage distributed energy resources—including thermostats, EVs, and batteries—through its Edge DERMS platform, which supports utilities seeking reliable and affordable grid optimization.

Resideo said the transaction does not impact its previously issued 2025 financial outlook. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes aligned with the company’s capital allocation priorities.
