Resonant Clinical Solutions has acquired Germany-based labfish rental solutions and its affiliated companies in the U.S. and U.K., expanding Resonant’s global clinical equipment, calibration and logistics capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Resonant’s Equipment & Ancillaries business in Europe and adds specialized capabilities for clinical and laboratory equipment rental, calibration and international logistics.
Hamburg-based Labfish provides a broad range of laboratory equipment for rent, including balances, freezers, refrigerators, infusion pumps and monitors.
The company also offers equipment customization, accessories and in-house calibration services for clinical trial customers.
Founded in 2014, Labfish is ISO 9001 certified and operates one of Europe’s largest in-house calibration facilities dedicated to clinical trials.
The business also provides Importer of Record and Exporter of Record services, giving customers additional support for moving equipment and clinical materials across international markets.
Labfish works with partner warehouses in Argentina, Israel, Turkey and China and supports clinical trial centers in more than 70 countries.
Its logistics capabilities extend directly to patients, helping sponsors manage increasingly complex trial designs that require specialized equipment to reach sites and participants across multiple countries.
Resonant plans to integrate those capabilities with its existing Equipment & Ancillaries business as life sciences customers increasingly require more sophisticated equipment, calibration and logistics support throughout clinical development.
The acquisition also gives Resonant a larger European presence while adding technical expertise and international infrastructure that can support a greater portion of the clinical trial lifecycle.
