RET Ventures announced the launch of its inaugural AI Accelerator Program, a new initiative aimed at supporting early-stage startups developing AI-driven technologies for the rental housing market. The program will initially focus on companies transforming apartment leasing and marketing through AI-native platforms as generative AI reshapes how renters search for homes.
The accelerator is designed to help startups build tools that improve property visibility, discovery, and lead generation as renters increasingly rely on AI-powered search systems and large language models. RET Ventures said the program will provide mentorship, access to resources, and connections to its network of real estate operators to help companies accelerate product development and go-to-market execution.
The first cohort includes LeasingAI and brightplace, both of which are focused on generative AI-driven discovery and leasing workflows. Additional startups are expected to join on a rolling basis.
LeasingAI offers a platform designed to enhance property visibility across generative AI ecosystems by optimizing how listings appear and are interpreted by AI systems. The company integrates with major AI platforms to help property owners improve discoverability and occupancy rates.
Brightplace, based in New York City, is building infrastructure to support AI-mediated rental discovery, reflecting a broader shift away from traditional search toward AI-driven recommendations in the housing market.
RET Ventures also announced it will host an AI-focused startup showcase at the Apartment Innovation and Marketing Conference in Huntington Beach, California, on May 5, 2026. The event will highlight emerging companies developing AI-enabled leasing and marketing solutions.
The firm said the accelerator aligns with its broader strategy of investing in technologies that modernize the real estate ecosystem, particularly within multifamily and single-family rental markets.
