Reworld has appointed Howard L. Lance as President and Chief Executive Officer, bringing a veteran industrial and technology executive into the top leadership role at the sustainable waste solutions company. Lance’s appointment is effective immediately.
He has served as Chairman of Reworld’s Board since 2021, when funds managed by EQT acquired the company then known as Covanta.
Lance succeeds Azeez Mohammed, who will continue supporting Reworld as Senior Advisor and will also serve as an Industrial Advisor to EQT.

Lance has extensive experience leading large industrial, technology, infrastructure, aerospace and defense, building materials, and healthcare businesses.
